The venue: Hessenhuis Café is located in ‘Hessenhuis’ which used to be the place for tradesmen to store their goods as well as an inn where they could spent the night when visiting Antwerp. The building was completed in 1564 and has served as a home for various causes in the past. In 1993 Hessenhuis Café opened as a hotspot for the LGTBQ-community. Through the years, Hessenhuis Café has become a true landmark in the nightlife scene of Antwerp, for both LGTBQ’s as non-LGTBQ’s.
In 2020 the interior was completely redesigned, welcoming visitors in an eclectic yet warm and welcoming environment.

Our staff is ready for you! We currently have two bars to enjoy your drink. One on the ground level and one on the upper floor. Both bars are perfectly equipped to serve you delicious drinks and enhance your visit.
